Following an acrimonious referendum on European Union membership, the UK was plunged into chaos as people attempted to negotiate a deeply divided domestic political landscape. In Scotland, things were further complicated by independence question and Scottish National Party’s (SNP) call for second referendum. light of Brexit result, since 2016 many citizens Scotland have re-thought their position owing emergent axiomatic violence located in UK’s split from Europe. This article examines different temporalities involved with experienced Scotland. For those who once supported Union, is understood moment violent unforeseen rupture, emerging one-off event present. contrast, nationalists speak representative accretive slow brought through historical imbalances politics; be expected, long-term processes. EU migrants, built futures, they contemplate work family life drastically changed socio-political Although ‘emergent’ aspect inherent dependent perspective, all agree that axiomatic, part everyday Britain.
